Welcome to the club. It definitely can become a timesink if you’re the hyper-organized sort. Aside from that, though, it is a neat way to see what other people are doing. I’ve got a lace project on the needles that I picked by looking through other folks’ projects to get an idea for what it might look like in a specific yarn.
